The UBS Tri Club based in Switzerland was founded in 1986 and is a founding member of Swiss Triathlon.
The club has grown steadily over the last few years and today, the club has 150 members including some of the best age group triathletes in Switzerland, The majority of members are active and regularly participate in competitions. Triathlon is a sport for individuals, which makes it all the more interesting to be able to meet and train together.
The club is sponsored by UBS but separate from UBS Group AG. Both UBS employees and non-UBS employees are welcome to join the club.

At the end of May, the UBS Triathlon Club hosted its annual Race Simulation, giving members the chance to experience a full triathlon sequence under real conditions. The format was simple but highly effective: swim, bike, run — just like race day, but in a supportive club environment designed for learning, testing, and building confidence.

Ironman 70.3 Switzerland delivered another unforgettable day for the UBS Triathlon Club, with a strong line‑up of 17 athletes taking on the iconic Rapperswil course. The team once again demonstrated its growing presence in the Swiss triathlon community, finishing as the 2nd largest club on the start list and securing an impressive 3rd place in the Ironman TriClub Challenge.

Two UBS Triathlon Club members — Mark and Dag — took on one of the world’s most iconic and challenging races this year: the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco. Entering its 46th edition in 2026, the event is widely regarded as a global bucket‑list race, drawing athletes from more than 50 countries who come to test themselves against the city’s cold bay waters, steep hills, and rugged coastal terrain.

What a weekend at Ironman 70.3 Jesolo! Five of our athletes took on the challenge, with Martina completing her very first 70.3 — a fantastic achievement reflecting her steady preparation and commitment to Peter’s Swim Squad. For Ozi, Marcel, Oli G. and Daniel, Jesolo marked the beginning of their race season and a strong team showing.

On 21–22 March, fifteen UBS Triathlon Club members gathered at the Sports Arena Campus Sursee for an immersive two‑day swim camp. Led by coach Marcus Smallbone and organized by Anthony Rumilla, the camp focused on one central question: How do we become better swimmers—not just through technique, but through mindset and smart training principles?

In 2025 the UBS Tri Club came in 4th in the Ironman Triclub rankings within Division IV in Switzerland.
